No, it's not Gary Glitter making a comeback - it's the Cane Toads (featuring our own Darren Lee as frontman and Pete Dennett on bass) in their glam rock guise The Glam Toads!
Rocking out at the Fleece in Ashton-in-Makerfield, the sexy (according to Darren) fourpiece packed out the gig with more than a few members of the audience bearing a passing resemblance to our favourite Haydock crew! The Toads covered all the classics, including Bowie, T-Rex and Slade, but wait a second, Bay City Rollers?! Shangalang!
It was all in the name of charity, although the amount of fun these boys seem to have had surely makes another comeback tour a dead cert?!

Our service manager Dave's always been cautious by nature - one of the reasons why he's so good at his job. Though in his personal life he really took it to the extreme, and had not made an honest woman of Julie after 20 years together! So we're now chuffed to say that after a successful 'trial period', Dave and Julie have finally tied the knot. Go team Chadwick! |
