Birchwood Mechanical Handling has been named as Doosan’s top dealer for 2009.
The award, presented by Doosan Infracore dealer manager, Jason Jordan, cited Birchwood’s outstanding sales performance in 2008 and their commitment to growing the Doosan brand.
“Birchwood have made enormous strides this year, and we felt it was only fitting that their efforts were recognised,” said Jason. “Birchwood was our top selling dealer in our best ever year, so their success has been a crucial factor in Doosan’s continued growth in the UK. They have also introduced our brand to some of the UK’s leading firms, which has further strengthened our UK profile.”
Birchwood first joined the Doosan network at the end of 2007 having already grown to be a powerful force in the North West on the back of a reputation for engineering excellence and product quality.
The company was keen to develop a partnership with a manufacturer of growing stature, and Doosan has fitted the bill perfectly.
Birchwood general manager, Tommy Haddock, praised the hard work of his staff for helping the company to rapidly become the leading light in the Doosan network.
Said Tommy: “We’ve been successful with some of the most prestigious UK businesses and that gives us a tremendous amount of confidence and satisfaction. We are delighted to receive this award. It is a culmination of the hard work put into the business by all our staff and a great achievement in our first full year as a Doosan dealer.”
The Doosan brand was launched in 2005 following the purchase of a 51 percent controlling share in Daewoo Heavy Industries & Machinery by Korean construction giant, Doosan.
